The story of Delvis grew out of a dream of Stefano Del Vecchio - an Italian entrepreneur with a great passion for art matched by intellectual curiosity and personal dynamism – to create a new language that could break the boundaries of the obvious and the commonplace.
In 1984 he set up business in Manzano, in the heart of northeast Italy’s historic woodworking and furniture district. From 1990 he was travelling between the USA and Asia and in 2006 he set up his first workshop in China.
Along the way, he took with him a strong portfolio of design culture, knowledge of materials and processes, love of quality and of know-how. He travelled with a team of craftsmen and makers who shared his passion.
So a unique fusion arose between Italian lifestyle and interior décor, and the extraordinary potential and capacity of the East. This dream finally took the shape of an eclectic, versatile and unique collection, for all domestic and contract interiors.
Mind in Italy is not just a play on the words of ‘made in Italy’. It expresses an original idea, pointing out that every product, before it is produced, must be created in the mind. Mind in Italy creates a bridge, built of imagination and professionalism, between East and West, based on Italian know-how, R&D experience, attention to detail, tailoring.
